Anaerobic Treatment

The anaerobic treatment bacterial process involves mixing wastewater sludge in an oxygen free environment. The sludge waste is fermented (and sometimes heated) in a closed tank. Pulsair's mixing systems improve the anaerobic treatment by re-circulating the methane gas that is produced after it has been scrubbed by a liquid ring compressor. The Pulsair system is also closed to the outside atmosphere, so bugs do not die from exposure to air. Equally important is that the Pulsair mixers are intrinsically safe and its explosion-proof design makes it the ideal equipment in anaerobic treatment environments.

Benefits of Pulsair's wastewater mixing systems for anaerobic treatment:

  • Uses re-circulated methane gas - scrubbed by a liquid ring compressor
  • Substantial energy savings - due to sequential injection of air our systems use less energy
  • Very efficient - vertical mixing motion maintains sludge suspension
  • Extremely safe - Pulsair mixers use an explosion-proof design
  • Reduces overall operational and maintenance costs
