10-55 Tote-Sticks with Double Tank IBC Feed Systems

Double tank IBC feed systems are becoming more and more popular. A feed system is typically a 550-gallon IBC that is permanently stationed and plumbed to the equipment needing the liquids. A second 350-gallon is placed on top of the 550. Connecting hoses or piping permits the contents of the 350 to be gravity fed into the 550. Using a forklift, a full 350 then easily replaces the empty 350 at the station. Serious challenges arise if mixing is required in the bottom tank.

While most PULSAIR literature shows the portable 10-55 Tote-Stick sticking straight up and out the top of the IBC, this does not always have to be the case. The controller will work in any position. Using a 90º elbow and an additional length of tubing, the probe can be inserted between the two tanks and down to the bottom of the lower tank. The controller sits sideways between the two tanks and close to the tank wall, where the controls are accessible.

A 10-55 Tote-Stick is probably the only way to mix a feed tank setup without a lot of extra effort.
