EXXON CHEMICAL SINGAPORE

EXXON Chemical of Singapore has installed a PPC-24/48, the largest PPC system, with a lighted display and the equipment for six tanks.

Following the lead of Exxon Chemical in New Jersey, they also ordered the "pulse reporting system". This signal feature verifies to the system operator that air is being injected into the tank. Two micro-switches with pneumatic actuators are located inside the EPI. The actuators are connected by tubing to the down stream side of the injection valve. When the injection valve is actuated the 'pulse' pressurizes the pneumatic actuator that closes the micro-switch and sends an electrical signal to the PPC controller. This signal can turn on a light, ring a bell or actuate some other signaling device, telling the operator that air/nitrogen is being injected into the tank.

The EPIs were installed in Secondary Enclosures along with the filter, regulator and injection valves. Within each Secondary Enclosure, the EPIs are housed in an explosion proof enclosure.
