Water Treatment
Aerobic treatment and anaerobic treatment can be greatly enhanced by PULSAIR mixing. For aerobic treatment, PULSAIR is used in conjunction with coarse or fine bubble diffusers to maximize the contact between the water and the oxygen generated by the diffusers. PULSAIR's mixing action will disperse the smaller bubbles throughout the contents of the tank, which means aeration will be effective even at significant depths. This not only accelerates the aeration process, it also dramatically reduces energy costs. Furthermore, with aeration possible at greater depths, taller tanks with a reduced "footprint" can be used where wide shallow tanks were once needed. This means higher process capacity without using up more real estate.
Anaerobic mixing is also improved by using PULSAIR. The methane gas produced in the process is scrubbed by a liquid ring compressor an then used as the PULSAIR injection gas instead of air. The PULSAIR system is closed to atmosphere, so the bug do not die from exposure to air. Again, substantial energy and time savings will accrue by using PULSAIR technology. PULSAIR's intrinsically safe, explosion-proof design makes it the ideal equipment mixing in anaerobic environments.
