The PTM-2000 Series is PULSAIR's most powerful portable mixing system. It is designed for mixing tank and rail cars, and can also be used to mix a fixed tank. It comes in five different sizes designed to mix in a wide range of tank capacities beginning with 1,000-gallons and culminating with truck and rail tankers from about 22,000 to 30,000-gallons. |

In cylindrical tanks it is possible to mix some 50,000-gallon tanks, depending on the tank height. |

The PTM-2000 series evolved from PULSAIR's TNR-1000, a large, powerful portable mixer which was somewhat awkward to use and came in a single size. The PTM-2000 series is user friendly. It comes in five sizes and prices to address our customer's specific mixing needs.
Models and sizing listed below.
| Tank Size (gallons) | Valve Size | Model # |
| up to 5,000 | 1/2" | PTM-2000 |
| up to 10,000 | 3/4" | PTM-2001 |
| up to 15,000 | 1" | PTM-2002 |
| up to 20,000 | 1" | PTM-2003 |
| up to 30,000 | 1-1/2 | PTM-2004 |
The PTM-2000 series mixers operate at a minimum air pressure of 40 psi. PTM-2000 series mixers come with air hose, quick disconnects, filter, regulator, controller (power head) and accumulator plate. The customer supplies the pipe probe.
Operating the PTM without an Accumulator Plate
It is not always necessary to have an accumulator plate attached to the bottom of the probe on a PTM-2000 Series mixer. The function of the plate has always been to scour the tank and suspend solids. The PTM-2000 will effectively mix liquids that do not have heavy solid weight percentages without the plate.
Busting through a solid top with the PTM
During a demonstration of the PTM in a red wine fermentation tank, we couldn't get the plate through the cap that had formed at the top of the tank. To solve the problem, the plate was removed and the probe was inserted through the cap and the PULSAIR turned on. The result was, a hole was blown in the cap for the plate to pass through. (Further pulsing at the bottom of the tank completely broke the cap, which was the object of the demonstration.)
