VTS-3 System Controller

The VTS-3 is designed for mixing three V- or Cone Bottom Tank tanks simultaneously or in any selected configuration. It can also be configured for the RC option. In order to be effective, the three tanks must all be located within 20' of the center tank. This is the most important factor when recommending the unit to a customer. It is not necessary that the tanks are all the same size, although it makes the controller adjustments easier. For instance, the "Dwell" may need to be adjusted when shifting from a large to a small tank.

Because "injection time" is a function of the distance between the valves and the controller, it is important that the lengths of the 1/4" tubing between the controller and the injection valves for each tank be of equal lengths so that they have equal volumes. Some injection valves will be closer to the controller, therefore extra tubing is unavoidable. The extra length should be coiled and tied out of the way.

The VTS-3 controller has three tank selector switches located at the top of the controller. One, all or any combination of tanks can be switched on. The dwell control is identical to that on the FT-1. Unlike the FT-1, the injection time is preset at the PULSAIR. The adjustment is made inside the cabinet. Injection pressure is adjusted on the controller face just like the FT-1 systems. There are three instead of two (FT-1 controller has two) outlet ports, one for each injection valve.
