VTS-4 System Controller
The PULSAIR VTS-4 is designed for mixing in up to four V- or Cone Bottom Tanks. Like the other pneumatic controllers, it can be configured with the RC option, as shown EONOIL's VTS-4/5 RC pictured at right. |

To be effective, VTS-4 needs to be centrally located amongst four tanks. No tank should be further than 20' away. It may not be possible to mix in all tanks simultaneously if the tanks are not of equal size, or contain liquids that are not of similar properties. VTS-4 is not as effective in tanks of different size or in tanks with liquids that have different specific gravity unless a receiver is used because the injection valves are opened simultaneously. If the tanks are not balanced, then the air will flow to the tank with the lowest head pressure. Tank grouping is the most important factor when recommending the VTS-4 to a customer.
The injection time, the amount of time that the valve remains open, is directly related to the distance between the valves and the controller. Therefore, it is important that the 1/4" tubing between the controller and the four injection valves all be of equal lengths, therefore equal volume. Equal volumes assure that each injection valve opens and closes properly. Some injection valves will be closer to the controller than others and there will be extra tubing. The extra length should be coiled and tied out of the way.
The off/on function of a VTS-4 controller can be controlled from a remote location through PULSAIR's remote control options. A VTS-4 with the added electronics for remote control is denoted as a VTS-4 RC.
