July 16, 1998 Pulsair Systems, Inc. Mobil Beaumont BPLP Pulsair Mixing System Dear Mr. Richard Parks: I want to express my satisfaction with the Pulsair mixing system we installed for mixing lube oils at our Beaumont, Texas lube oil blending and packaging plant. As part of a larger project, I was requested to provide the capability to mix lube products in eight existing rectangular tanks. We reviewed three methods to accomplish this task: standard air sparging systems, mechanical mixers and the Pulsair mixing 8ystems. Although the least expensive, the standard air sparging system was eliminated due to the volume of air required, along with associated energy and maintenance costs. The existing air supply was operating at nearly maximum capacity. The mechanical mixing option was eliminated due initial purchase and installation cost. Side mixers were not an option in this application based on recommendations from our mechanical mixer supplier. The top mounted mixers would have been expensive due to the required shaft length and major structural modifications would have been required on the tanks. The Pulsair system was chosen due to a moderate price and relative ease of installation. After discussions with Pulsair they were able to customize the controls to provide a system that could operate day after day without operator intervention or in the future be tied to our plant DCS system. I was extremely pleased with the desire by Pulsair to provide a system to fit our needs. We elected to start the system up ourselves since the finish product is relative simple to operate. The video and written instructions provided with the system easily guided us through operator and maintenance training. Pulsair was always responsive to our calls and questions during installation and start up. In the future I will not hesitate to recommend Pulsair mixing systems in our plants where they fit the application. Regards
